Re-Purpose Pals
Re-purpose Pals started with a simple idea in 2016 — to save unwanted toys from landfill and give them a new purpose. These once-forgotten treasures have gone on to new adventures to comfort kids in emergencies, become reading buddies in classrooms, cuddle companions in rest homes, and even playful toys for rescued animals. In 2025, Re-purpose Pals has relaunched and is becoming about teaching young people the joy of repurposing, stitching, and creating something special from something old. It’s about starting conversations around why everything does not need to be new but can be repurposed. Letting kids choose a toy they connect with while adding a little magic along the way.

Moose the Mascot
Moose was one of those poor, forgotten toys sitting on a shelf at the op shop, waiting for someone to love him. Like many preloved toys, he was dangerously close to ending up in landfill.
But lucky for Moose, a rescue mission was underway! Lesley saw his potential and knew he was perfect for the role. With a little love and creativity, Moose was repurposed into a cuddly weighted toy.

Now, he travels everywhere with Lesley, sharing his story and teaching people about the magic of giving old toys new life. Along the way, Moose collects plenty of hugs and leaves big smiles wherever he goes — proof that sometimes, the best adventures start when you’re given a second chance.
Meet Moose's mates
In second-hand shops and dusty dumps, toys huddle together like secret adventurers waiting for their next big quest. These lucky three toys have joined Moose on his quest to teach kids about sustainability!!

Pebble the Wombat
Senior doorstopper
This sturdy little guy had a rough start after getting a bit too close to the heater, poor chap! A good wash and brush worked wonders, and now Pebble the Wombat spends his days proudly preventing the office door from slamming and quietly watching the world go by. It’s the perfect role for him… especially since he’s pretty hopeless at taking messages.

Lucky the Fox
Expert listener
Once attacked by a dog and nearly sent to landfill, Lucky was given a second chance thanks to some careful repairs and a excellent restuff. With his brand new ears, he’s now a great listener and loves hanging out with his pals, proving that every toy deserves a fresh start!

Ash the Cat
Professional snuggler
This cute grey kitty almost ended up in landfill, can you believe it? Just because he was second-hand, no one gave him a chance! Luckily, we saw what others didn’t. Ash the cat is now living his best life as a Repurpose Pal, ready for cuddles and second chances.
